Born in 1983 in Paris, Farid Ismail is a director of French, Egyptian and Colombian. He graduated with a Master in Cinema from Paris New Sorbonne in 2007. Passionate and determined, he has independently directed more than a dozen creative shorts including Absence, Dark Moon, Le Sommeil, Le Magician dose and I Hate Babies.... His work is characterised by its comic and wacky style while being both idealistic and imaginative. With his short-film B@D, Farid has attracted more than 100,000 internet viewings and more importantly, television distribution with the French channels TF1 and Direct 8. Selected for the Urban Film Festival 2009, the film had be screened at Cinéma MK2 Quai de Seine. In the same year, Farid won the second prize for his submission to Pepsi Best Viral Ads competition. Since then Farid has been busy expanding his range of experience in the industry and has directed several music videos, two of which appear on the official site of the well-known artist Manu Chao; "Il faut manger" and "Otro Mundo." With productions currently in development, Farid is in search of a production company to take on his new and exciting projects and may very well open a teahouse in the meantime... What is the story ? Bogota, Colombia. A young man tries to steal an old lady's handbag. But she doesn't let him and instead, she teaches him the meaning of life. - What is about ? It's a funny short-movie of 5 minutes in HD color with Official soundtrack by The International Famous Singer MANU CHAO Cast : Anita Duran as "The Mammy" and Mathieu Naert as "the bad guy" - How it was done ?
